Therapy doesn’t have to happen inside four walls. My outdoor sessions offer a grounded, nature-based alternative to traditional counselling—ideal if you find it hard to sit in a room and talk. Whether we’re walking side by side or sitting around a campfire, these sessions blend therapeutic conversation with the calming, regulating effects of nature.
Walk-and-talk or nature based sessions
We will meet in one of the local forests where I am licenced by Forestry England to work. This is a regular counselling session of 50-minutes, but involves movement. We’ll walk together and find a cosy, safe, quiet spot to talk under the trees. These sessions are beneficial for people who don’t like sitting still, or who might struggle having someone ‘looking at’ them. These sessions run throughout the year and in all weathers and seasons.
These sessions are £50 per counselling hour (50 minutes) and payable at the time of booking.
Wilderness Therapy Based Sessions (Alternate Provision)
For those who benefit from more time and a hands-on focus, I offer 90-minute sessions that might include carving, whittling or simply being present around a fire. These wilderness therapy-informed sessions gently support emotional processing while creating a less pressured, more embodied way to engage in therapy.
This approach is especially well-suited to young people, men, veterans, trauma survivors and anyone who struggles with conventional talk therapy. You’ll still get the ‘talk’ part of therapy—but in a space that feels more natural, less clinical and more in tune with how you work best.
